Diabetics at TGI Friday
If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.
Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:
Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

I guess I am not the only one here who has gotten terrible service! Arrived with my family of 4 at 10 am on a Sunday was not overly busy was seated immediately... The restaurant was steady but definitely not to busy.. Ordered breakfast didn't actually get it in front of us until 11:30 or so... Ordered off the menu No special requests... Never a apologie or an explanation! Half our food was cold my eggs were over cooked.. They never checked in after it was served to see how we were doing... Really my worst breakfast experience I can recall... That includes eating cold pizza from a box left on the floor in my college dorm room....

If your expecting a lot from this place, think again. I've given them countless tries and it becomes the same result. Poor customer service Poor food quality Attitude is awful Your food is not the way you ordered it. I bought those loaded waffle fries and it was far from being loaded. A Little bit of cheese, no sour cream, and just a little bit a fries for only one person. Workers look lost You'll be waiting for a half hour to be seated on a non busy night. Thats what happened to me and I left. If you want to have a good sit down eating experience, then don't go here... REALLY! Yes again, I've given this place countless tries and I've had enough...

Worst place to eat. After being seated we waited 20 min for drinks. We then gave the waitress our order n before she went to put the order in she sat down for another 15 min and was talking to the customers behind us. After bringing us our food she never checked to see how anything was. While we were still eating she asked if we needed a desert menu, i said no the only was that was having ice cream was my son, so she asked what he wanted we told her thinking she would wait for him to finish eating, which is common sense. not even a minute later his ice cream comes out while he's still eating, n i told her to bring it back cause he wasn't done. Of course when a kid see ice cream they don't wanna eat anymore. So at the point he didn't want food he wanted ice cream. The waitress was horrible very poor service. i will not be returning there!

DONT ORDER ANY GREENS! at all friendlys locations we have been having a problem with brown/black wilted gross lettuce. Here was no exception in our wraps. Only good food is burgers and melts. Ice cream is way over priced. The highlight of our visit was a 35 minute wait for a wrap and chicken tenders. Won't be back to this location. At least our server Denzel was a great guy.

First time to a Friendly's. Only ordered a Cookies n Cream milkshake for carry out. When I got it, it was really liquidy (way to much milk). So I asked the waitress if that was normal, she said it was not, and said they'd fix it. 10 mins later and I had good Cookies n Cream milkshake with added chocolate this time (I presume since it was no longer white ice cream in it haha). It was good even if not exactly what I ordered and I didn't wanna be the guy sending back his food two times in a row. Aside from the first bad shake, I might go back. They're pretty pricey (4.99 + tax for a milkshake).

It baffles me why this company ever decided to sell anything but Ice Cream?... Aside from Ice Cream, perhaps the only relatively decent thing on the menu are the burgers - I also hear the chicken tenders are not bad either, BUT any steak product, in my opinion, it not very good - Not when you have options like 99, TGIF, Texas Road House, all with far superior steak dishes from not that much more money (if at all) - Additionally, the clam strips are a stretch to be called "clam strips" unless they mean they have been stripped of the clams?... They are crusty flavored something, but to call them clam strips may be a bit optimistic. When it comes to the Ice Cream, I have no complaints, but not a place I suggest for a decent meal... Drive a bit further up the road and check out any of the other places nearby for dinner, then stop at Friendly's for Ice Cream after!

My cousin treated her daughters, who work across the way at the Dartmouth Mall, and me to dinner at Friendly's. The menu consists of a lot of grilled sandwiches, burgers and deep fried food. I found a grilled Asian chicken plate with veggies and rice that was diet friendly - hold the sesame seeds. We were seated immediately and got our drinks fast, but getting our food took some time. We sat across from the kitchen and saw that there were issues with the cooks getting the orders right. My cousin said they just filed for bankruptcy. This chain may not be around for much longer.

Even though I think there are much better quality places to eat, I return to Friendly's every so often. They are known for their ice cream, but nothing special there. You can come in specifically for ice cream (take out as well) or order a bite to eat. This is a chain restaurant and I highly recommend going to the one in Fairhaven or south end of New Bedford for better quality and it's more quiet. A large menu with a constant monthly special. The special usually comes with a scoop of whatever the new ice cream flavor of the month is. Food quality is ok. Sometimes it can be cold or luke-warm. Sometimes the atmosphere can be a little uncleanly. Depends on the time of night that you go. Since they are open late, and often have large troops of families and college students looking for a cheap meal, I feel that they don't have the chance to clean as much as they should within the restaurant. If you're in the mood for cheap just OK food, and whining children in the background, then this place is for you.
